PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick film pattern compsn. which prevents a failure at the time of sealing by eliminating the local strength deficiency of barrier ribs, prevents agglomerate from forming projections at the apexes of these barrier ribs and extremely lessens chipping in the barrier ribs, a coating application compsn. for forming the thick film pattern for forming the compsn, and a plasma display panel which is formed by using the compsn. and extremely decreases erroneous discharges and spot defects. SOLUTION: This thick film pattern compsn. contains glass frit which is the molten perform for the thick film patterns and an aggregate for maintaining mainly the form and strength of the thick pattern as essential components. The aggregate is so constituted that the inorg. particles consisting of spherical or sphere-analogous polyhedrons are incorporated at >=25% into the aggregate components.
