PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plate material usable for various uses in an easily usable shape, capable of activating a cell of the human body, promoting metabolism by excellently circulating blood and improving beauty and the health by forming lava powder in a plate shape or a sheet shape by holding the lava powder on a carrier. SOLUTION: Lava powder 2 having the particle size of about 10 to 30μm and a bubble fraction >=30% is filled by about 30 g in a plastic transparent flexible sheet bag 3, and is sealed after exhausting air inside of the bag 3 to obtain a sheet-like far infrared radiation radiating plate material 1. When this is used by laying it on a seat back of a chair, a cell of the human body is activated, and blood excellently circulates to promote metabolism. The lava powder 2 is filled in a measure-like bag of the transparent flexible sheet, and is sealed after adjusting so as to leave air by a prescribed quantity in respective measures inside of the bag, and when a sheet-like far infrared radiation radiating plate material 1 is obtained, the far infrared radiation radiating plate material capable of uniformly floating in hot water, easily handleable and excellent in a cost can be obtained.
