PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive photographing lens unit. SOLUTION: This photographing lens unit 10 has a lens 12, a lens mirror frame 20 holding the lens and an image-pickup element package board 60. The lens mirror frame 20 is provided with a diaphragm 22 which extends to the front of the lens 12. The image-pickup element package board 60 has an image-pickup element chip 62, a rectangular supporting board 64 for supporting it and a plurality of terminals 66. A plurality of terminals 66 are positioned on the opposite sides of one group in the rectangular supporting substrate 64. The lens mirror frame 20 has an allocation face 26 for positioning the image- pickup element package board 60 in a z-direction, an allocation face 28 for positioning the image-pickup element package board 60 in a y-direction and an allocation face 30 for positioning the image-pickup element package board 60 in an x-direction. The image-pickup element package board 60 positioned by allocation to the allocation faces 26, 28 and 30 is fixed by the lens mirror frame 20 through adhesion.
