PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission capable of conducting smooth intermittent operation, that is used for intermittent operation of a coaxilly arranged power transmission shaft and has a simple structure for eliminating the matching of connection phase. SOLUTION: This transmission has an outer ring, a plurality of rolling bodies arranged in multiple stages in the inner peripheral part of the outer ring, a power transmission element 10 with a retainer retaining each of the rolling bodies so as to be rotatable, a pair of rotational shafts 8, 17 being coaxilly arranged in adjacent positions and having at their outer circumferential surfaces rolling body sliding grooves 16, 17 with which the rolling bodies of the elements 10 engage and which enable them to move in the axial direction, a guide groove guiding the rolling bodies into the groove 17 while being formed at least at the axial end of one of the rotational shaft 17. In the transmission, torque transmission of the rotational shaft is not made when the element 10 is positioned at a rising position while it is made at the time of the element 10 positioned at a lowering position.
