PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten an issuance time for a paper-like medium by printing only a characteristic image and storing in a stacker part before issuing the paper-like medium, and using the paper-like medium with the printed characteristic image which is stored in the stacker part when the paper-like medium is to be issued. SOLUTION: According to this paper-like medium issuance method, a medium feed part 3 for feeding paper-like media 2, a security part 4 for endowing security properties, a print part 7 for printing a characteristic image common to the media to be issued and individual information different for each medium to be issued, a print confirmation part 8 for confirming whether the printing is good or not, and the like are set, and the paper-like medium 2 is issued in accordance with a command from a host apparatus 9. The characteristic image is printed by the print part 7. Stacker parts 13 are provided for storing the paper-like media 2 having the characteristic image printed thereto. The stacker parts 13 are constituted to a medium passage so that the stacker parts are separated, connected at the side closer to an issuance opening 66 of the medium passage 67 than the print part 7 and returned to the medium feed part 3 further than the print part 7. If the paper-like medium 2 ordered to be issued at the host apparatus 9 is kept in the stacker part 13, the paper-like medium 2 in the stacker part 13 is transferred to the print part 7 and issued after the individual information is printed. |
