PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute film rewinding control in a required state even when defective feeding or the like due to the fault of a feed amount detecting device or the like is caused at the time of rewinding film. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a film feed amount detecting device(MCU) by which the film housed in a cartridge having a film shaft and a bar code disk fixed at the film shaft is handled and the feed amount of the film is detected. Then, the film feed amount detecting device is provided with bar code signal generating means 4 (4A and 4B) generating a signal based on the bar code information of the bar code disk when the film is fed and a feed amount detecting means 1 detecting the feed amount of the film based on the signal generated by the bar code signal generating means 4.
