PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for producing a sheathing material in which the sheathing material having different surface patterns is easily produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: The sheathing material is formed by pressing molding material by a pressing means which is equipped with both a supporting part for supporting the molding material and a pressurizing part for pressurizing the molding material supported by the supporting part. Further, a plurality of different molds P1-P30 forming the surface patterns of the sheathing material are combined and freely fitted to the pressurized contact face of the pressurizing part. In the case of molding, the surface patterns of the sheathing material are formed on the surface of the molding material by a plurality of different molds P1-P30.
