PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat structure in which a partition member for isolating front seats from a rear compartment can be set and stored in a simple procedure. SOLUTION: A vehicle has a driver seat 3 and a passenger seat 4 as front row seats 2 and a rear seat 5 in a back row. A reclining mechanism 17 of the passenger seat 4 is constructed to allow a seat back 13 to pivot toward a seat cushion 11 in such a way that it can be locked in a generally horizontal position. A recess having a flat surface 21a is provided in a back surface 20 of the seat back 13. The flat surface serves as a tray surface 21a in the generally horizontal position. A partition plate 22 for isolating the front seats 2 from the rear seat 5 covers the tray surface 21a when it is in a stored position within the recess 21. The partition plate 22 can be extended and locked both when the seat back 13 is in a non-horizontal position to function as a seat back and when it is in the generally horizontal position.
