PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the amount of a dampening medium during printing with the use of a wet offset printing plate, by which it is possible to reduce the number of poor-quality printed copies. SOLUTION: This method for adjusting the amount of a dampening medium 22 is to adjust the amount of the dampening medium when printing is performed with the use of an offset printing plate 1. In this method, the amount of the dampening medium 22 on the surface of the plate 1 is adjusted to a specified value using a control device prior to the start of printing, and after the specified interruption of printing, the number of times (H) of interruption which occurs within a specified period of time is regulated and the amount of the dampening medium 22 to be supplied to the surface of the plate 1 during the interruption is changed in accordance with the number of times (H) of interruption.
