THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND BIAXIALLY ORIENTED FILM COMPRISING THE COMPOSITION

A thermoplastic resin composition containing inorganic particles, characterized in that (i) the inorganic particles have a void volume of 0.1 to 3 ml/g and (ii) the surface of the inorganic particles has been treated with a water-compatible polyester or an organosilicon compound in an amount of 0.05 to 10 times by weight the amount of the particles. The composition can be obtained by feeding a dispersion of the surface-treated inorganic particles to a vented twin-screw kneading extruder to mix the dispersion with a thermoplastic resin.
