<p>A fully automatic eyeglass cleaning apparatus (10) includes a vessel (14) partially filled with a cleaning fluid, wherein a mechanism (40) is included to accept and hold a pair of eyeglasses to be cleaned. The mechanism (40) lowers the eyeglasses into the volume of fluid, and provides for a duration of vibratory cleaning activities (within the volume of fluid). Subsequently the eyeglasses are raised above the volume of fluid and are then dried by the application of directed streams of heated air that impinge upon the eyeglasses. After sufficient periods of time are provided for fluidic cleaning and drying, the eyeglasses are raised and may be removed from the mechanism (40) by a user.</p> |
