The present invention relates to novel nucleic acids and polypeptides relating to Helicobacter pylori, in particular novel H. pylori bacterial surface proteins having molecular weights of approximately 75, 77, and 79 kilo daltons (kDa). The nucleic acid sequences and polypeptides are useful for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
