摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality due to difference of print characteristics between going stroke and returning stroke by shaping the waveform of a driving signal for an ejection delivery drive element into specified kinds of different shape and altering the waveform between going stroke and returning stroke. SOLUTION: An original drive signal generating section 206 generates an original drive signal ODRVo being used commonly for odd umber nozzles n1, n3,..., n47 and an original driven signal ODRVe being used commonly for even number nozzles n2, n4,..., n48. These original drive signals ODRVo, ODRVe are shaped into two kinds of shape or more within main scanning time of one pixel. On the going path, small and intermediate dot pulses W1, W2 are generated sequentially as the pulses of original drive signal ODRVe in each pixel section and these pulses are generated reversely in the return path. Since the hitting position of ink drop in the main scanning direction matches between going path and return path in one pixel region, deterioration of quality can be prevented.
