The invention relates to multi-filament elastane fibers with an overall tite r of up to 2,500 dtex having with a high surface luster and a band-shaped cros s section, which are formed by intertwined individual filaments, said individu al filaments having an oval to circular cross section and the cross-sectional width of the elastane fibers having four times the thickness of the elastane fibers.
