The force controller has a vehicle stopping detector, a brake actuation device that produces a first level of brake actuation when stopping is detected, and an accelerator pedal actuation detector stage. There is an accelerator pedal input drive force computation stage, an inclination resistance estimator, a second brake actuation device that produces a second level of brake actuation dependent on the estimated inclination resistance and a brake actuation force adapter that that adapts the first braking actuation level to inclination resistance, accelerator pedal input force and second braking actuation level when stopping is detected and the accelerator pedal is actuated. An Independent claim is also included for self-propelled vehicle with a controller. |
