A headlamp for cars with a lamp alignment which is changeable in its position with respect to the vehicle's longitudinal center line, has a housing whose light exit opening is provided with a disc and in which a light source and a reflector are located. The light source (4) is located in the housing (1) horizontally in pivoted fashion. The pivoting movement of the light source is dependent on the steering movement of the car. The coupling to the steering movement of the car takes place mechanically and electrically. A pivoting device (5) is provided for the light source that consists of levers (52) which are rotatable about an axle connected to the housing and are driven by an adjusting motor.
