The heating method provides temperature-dependent control of the heating elements (2,3) for the seat and/or steering wheel, using detected climatic conditions within the automobile passenger space, e.g. the temperature within the passenger compartment, the humidity within the passenger compartment and/or the incident solar radiation. An Independent claim for a heating device is also included.
