The speed of the slinger disks is changed with any change in spread volumes so the transverse spread distribution remains approximately the same. Thus with small spread volumes the speed of the disks (7) exceeds that adjusted for large spread volumes. This is obtained by means of a regulator (10) with the speed to spread volume ratio storage. The regulator displays this via indicator (11) showing the speed to be set. The regulator also automatically adjusts the disk speed to suit the particular spread volume.
