Data input unit suitable for use in operating theatre

The unit has an input keyboard (2) set into a recess of the table surface (2). The keyboard has short stroke keys (6), flush with the tabletop. It also has a touch pad to control the cursor. The entire input/operator surface of the keyboard (4) is covered with a sterile, transparent sheet, which is transparent at the operator surface and is attached to the table. Sterile covering is also provided for the unit cabling.
