Package for a food product, the package (10) having a container (12) that wraps said product (11) and realises a bottom wall (14) and peripheral walls (16, 18, 20, 22) of the package and a covering element (24) which is associated to said container (12) to close superiorly said package (10), wherein said covering element (24) presents a peripheral profile (42, 44, 46, 48) and said container (12) presents portions (26, 28, 30, 32) for the upper extension of the peripheral walls (16, 18, 20, 22), which extension portions (42, 44, 46, 48) are able to be superposed with downward folding to the covering element (24) in correspondence with the peripheral edge (42, 44, 46, 48) thereof. The covering element (24) is integrally joined, in correspondence wiht its own peripheral profile (42, 44, 46, 48), to the peripheral walls (16, 18, 20, 22) of the container (12) and it can be detached therefrom when the package is opened. Also provided, on said covering element (24), is a gripping and detaching tab (50) to provide for at least the partial detachment of said covering element (24) from said container (12) and allow the opening of the package. |
