handling system for injection moulding of cable ties

A handling system for plastic moulded cable ties has a rectangular aluminium plate (9) at the end of a movable support arm (8). The plate has a pattern of recesses and grooves to align with the mould pattern of the ties. Grooves in the bottom of the recesses are connected to a vacuum line to enable the plate to pick up the moulded ties from the opened mould (5) and transfer them to a packing station. The ties remain in the same layout as in the mould until picked off by the packaging system, for sorted packing.
