The invention relates to a method for producing a membrane with an electrode applied ultrasonically, wherein the electrode is ultrasonically welded to said membrane. Requirements regarding mechanical stability of the electrode and thermal resistance of the membrane are substantially reduced in comparison with known production methods, namely hot isostatic pressing. The inventive method also provides advantages in terms of production speed.
