The arrangement has a tubular insertion part for insertion into a body cavity and an ultrasound head for acquiring an ultrasound image of the body cavity. The ultrasound head (9) is mounted on the outside of the insertion part (1) so as to be movable with respect to it. The insertion part and head are enclosed by a flexible tube (14).
