Rotor wheel (1) for a cutting device for the removal of tread surfaces from vehicle tyres, comprising cutting members (2, 3) protruding from its periphery that are connected with a controllable steering device (5) and are thereby radial moveable between an outer position, in which the cutting members (3) protrude outside of the rotor wheel (1), and an inner position, in which the cutting members (3) are within the periphery of the rotor wheel (1). The steering device (5) is linearly moveable in the longitudinal direction of the rotor wheel (1) and comprises steering templates (5.1) for a guide (3.2) that is arranged on respective cutting member (3). The cutting members (3) may comprise sets of rasp elements (3.1) and/or U-shaped knifes (2), the ends of which are attached in the rotor wheel (1), each knife (2) showing an inclination towards the radius of the rotor wheel (1) to form a relief angle (a) at the point of attachment when the knife (2) is attached tangentially to the vehicle tyre. |
