Airbag system to bring aircraft safely to ground in event of emergency situation

The tail(2) of the aircraft in an emergency situation is blown off and a giant balloon(7) opens after the principle of an airbag and brings the forward section of the aircraft with the passengers and crew safely to the ground with the assistance of auxiliary propulsion units(9). Combustion in the gas generators(8) of a solid fuel releases a gas which is lighter than air and which fills the balloon. Floating cushions are provided on the port and starboard undersides of the fuselage to enable a landing on the water.
