A buckle comprises a recessed base plate 10 having two opposite side flanges and a band retaining two armed lever pivotally mounted in the side flanges one arm 18 being pivotable by the other arm 19 to clamp a portion of the band into a recess 16 in the base plate. Edges 22, 23 of the arm 18 clamp the band against opposite edges of the recess. The recess may extend through the base plate which has an aperture for securing another band portion. The 'buckle is made of plastics. |
