The pump membrane (1) is circular in shape and has an intermediate U-section portion (12) between its central (10) and peripheral (11) portions. The intermediate portion is thinner than the central and peripheral portions. It is annular in shape and is able to roll up and unroll as the membrane moves, while the peripheral portion has a seal rim (13). The membrane is fitted to the pump body so that it forms first (2) and second (3) fluid chambers.
