Axial flow motor pump (1) has an electromagnetic motor and hollow free piston. Incorporated in the device are a flow meter (2) and a flow limiter (3). A pressure regulator controls the supply of liquid to the pump via a number of internal passages. A flexible membrane that borders a chamber at which the fluids converge can be used to actuate an electric contact that switches off power to the pump.
