Pieces of frozen bread dough (1) are positioned, in alveoli, on trays in a chariot. Freezing sticks them to the trays, so they are dislodged by a number of sliding rods (6a), with pointed ends (8). The loose pieces of dough are then tipped off their trays by tipping the whole chariot on its curved frame (5b). Stops (5c) prevent the chariot getting out of control.
