The locating element (2) lies flat in the outer sheath (4) during placing of the chamfered stent (tube implant) or other instruments. When in position close to the bifurcation of the vessels the outer sleeve is withdrawn causing engagement with the fork of the vessels. This provides angular reference for positioning the inflatable cylindrical balloon (1) used to cause expansion of the stent. Sleeve withdrawal is effected by the line (5) attached to the balloon (1).
