<p>Polyimides contng. hydrazide groups and contng. at least one group of formula:--A-B-, where A is and B is -R'-(-CONHNHCO-)x-R'- or -R-CONHNHCO-R"-CONHNHCO-CO-R'- (where A is a tetravalent hydrocarbon, Ar' is a trivalent hydrocarbon, R' and R" are indep. divalent hydrocarbon, and x is 1-2). The polymers are soluble in numerous solvents, and are useful as adhesives for metals, forming strong bonds due to their ability to form chelates with the metal.</p> |
