Absorbent (4) for liquid samples is fixed to capillary diffuser (41) mounted to move between two end positions relative to the handle. In the first position, it projects the collection region (41a) for sample contacting the second diffuser (41) outside the handle. Transfer zone (41b) opposite the collection zone is away from upstream zone (2b) of first diffuser (2). When retracted, the separated zones reunite within the handle for transfer, contact with reagent, and observation. Preferred Features: The first reagent is placed on the first or second diffuser (2), in particular downstream of the collection zone (41a) or of the upstream zone (2b). The handle is a case with opening for sliding out the collector, with a window at the other end for observation of the downstream end of the first diffuser. A groove and button arrangement slides out the collector.
