The milking device has four milk extractors with teat cups (5) and milk lines (6) that supply a collection chamber (7). Near the transition of the teat cup to the milk line the milk line is provided with a supply line (9) that is connected to a manifold (10) for cleansing liquid, such as iodine. A pressurized air line (12) is connected to the manifold (10) in order to blow the cleansing liquid into the teat cup. An Independent claim is included for a method of cleaning and disinfecting the teats of a cow's udder.
