FIELD: agriculture, in particular, seed science. SUBSTANCE: method involves germinating seeds of crops under test in thermostat in special mode for 7-10 days at temperature of 25-28 C in cells containing 8-% polyacrylamide gel and positioned on special bed. Calculated germination percentage is used as factor for determining if such sort of seed is advisable as seed material. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
