FIELD: mining, more specifically, equipment for protection of instruments from blowouts in well. SUBSTANCE: device has pressing mechanism which under action of excessive pressure in well thrusts well walls. Pressing mechanism is made in form of bulky cylinder or instrument body with inclined recesses made on side surfaces in form of mirror image relative to their axis. Made along side surface equidistant from inclined recesses are braking members (stop, riffles, transverse recesses, cover plates). Angle of inclination of recesses relative to cylinder axis or instrument body is within value of friction angle. EFFECT: excluded wedging, operation by action of low pressure values, simple and reliable design. 2 cl, 3 dwg
