PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable sure communication operation by receiving light when light for transmitting information through an optical fiber cable or the like arrives with a relatively simple configuration without maintaining a circuit constitution part to be always in a state where power is supplied by a power source. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a light reception/power generation part 12 which receives a light for transmitting information and generates a signal, a signal processing circuit part 16 which is supplied with the signal obtained from the light reception/power generation part 12 and performs communication operation and power supply control parts 13 and 14 which control power supply from a power source part for the signal processing circuit part 16. Thus, a control signal is obtained by the power generation which is generated by receiving the light for operation control prior to the light for transmitting the information, and controls is performed with the power supply control parts 13 and 14 by the control signal so that the power supply from the power source part is performed to the signal processing circuit 16 and the power supply enables the signal processing circuit part 16 to execute the communication operation. |
