PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the prevention of the fusing and solidifying of developer, also to save the power consumption and to prolong the service life of a cooling means, all compatibly, by rotating one rotary body by a rotation control means when the temperature detected by a temperature detection body after an image forming process is interrupted and finished is equal to or over the reference temperature. SOLUTION: This fixing device is constituted of a main control CPU 57, a sensor 58 for detecting the temperature, humidity and the residual quantity of the developer in the inside of a printer body, a scanner driving part 61 driving a scanner and a mechanical control CPU 62 being the rotation control means. Then, the operation of a fan 38 is interrupted after the image forming process is interrupted and finished and the detected temperature of the respective thermistors obtained after the image forming process is interrupted and finished and the reference temperature are compared. As the result, when the maximum value of the detected temperature of the respective thermistors are equal to or over the reference temperature, the roller 50 is rotated by the CPU 62. Thus, since the quantity of heat of the roller 50 is diffused, the temperature of the fixing device 25 being the heat source is quickly lowered. |
