PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL drive circuit improved in visibility by keeping brightness constant, even if the ambient temp. and the brightness are changed. SOLUTION: An LCD 9, on which the operation state of a camera is displayed, is driven by an EL drive circuit 23, to be illuminated by an EL 30. Furthermore, the drive conditions of the EL 30 are set in a CPU 1 in accordance with temp. detected by a temperature detecting circuit 28. Then, the EL drive circuit 23 executes driving to make the luminance of the EL 30 constant, in accordance with the drive conditions set by the CPU 1. |
