PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an IC card reader/writer with no wide occupied space required by using a part of a liquid crystal display part prepared on the main body surface of the card reader/writer as an IC card reading/ writing part. SOLUTION: An IC card reader/writer 1 has a reading/writing part 2 and a display part 3 which are partly overlapping each other at a top surface part 10A of a main body 10 of the reader/writer 1. The part 2 can read and write the information out of and into an IC card 4 which is touching the part 10A, and an antenna 5 is buried right under the part 2 included in the main body 10 to output the radio waves for reading and writing the information. The part 3 displays the reading and/or writing operation procedure of the information recorded on the card 4, the explanation of placing position of the card 4 (e.g. an area or a surrounded part set at the center part to show the place of the card 4), etc. Thus, everybody can easily and surely perform the information reading and writing operations. |
