PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which doesn't consume unnecessary energy at the time of non-execution of the recording operation and reduces the number of signal lines related to this energy saving control at the time of performing this control. SOLUTION: A first semiconductor switching element (triac 205) controls turning-on/off of power supplied from an AC power source 201 to a fixing heater 204. An electromechanical switch (relay 208) controls turning-on/off of power supplied from the AC power source 201 to the first semiconductor switching element 205. A second semiconductor switching element (FET 305) controls turning-on/off of a DC voltage from a low voltage power source part 202 to high voltage power source parts 301 to 303 which generate a high voltage. The timing of turning-on/off of the electromechanical switch 208 and that of the semiconductor switching element 305 are synchronized. |
