REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bright and high contrast display and to enable the simultaneous display with high fineness by arranging a light diffusive sheet consisting of speckle patterns on the front surface of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The reflection type liquid crystal display device 1 comprises the liquid crystal panel 2, a specular reflective or scatterable reflection plate 3 arranged on the rear surface thereof and the light diffusive sheet 4 consisting of a sheet recorded with the speckle patterns arranged on the front surface of the liquid crystal panel 2. The light diffusive sheet 4 consisting of the sheet recorded with the speckle patterns gives light scattering when incident light 5 is made incident on the light diffusive sheet 4 from the front surface side of the liquid crystal panel 2. The scattered light is reflected by the reflection plate 3 on the rear surface side of the liquid crystal panel 2 and is emitted through the light diffusive sheet 4 to the front surface. The light diffusive sheet 4 allows the transmission of the diffused light emitted therefrom without the secondary light diffusion thereof. Then the display is made bright without the occurrence of the scattering of the unnecessary display light.
