<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of converters to be installed by preventing the occurrence of the drop of a driving force at the time when a car crosses a section, even if power is fed to neighboring sections from the same converter. SOLUTION: In addition to the usual feeding section switches SFn (where n is a natural number), short-circuiting switches SSn which short-circuit or open the end of each section Sn , and cross over switches SWn which open or close the connection between the end of each section Sn and the input terminal of the next section Sn+1 are provided. These switches are controlled by a feeder controller 2. While a car is within the section Sn , SFn and SSn are closed with the others opened. When the car is about to reach the boundary line with the section Sn+1 , SSn is opened, and SSn+1 and SWn closed. When the car crossed the boundary line, SFn and SWn are opened, SSn+1 being left closed.</p> |
