<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft brake mechanism for a reel capable of reducing the cost, miniaturizing and making light in weight by attaining the reduction of power consumption required for driving. SOLUTION: The amount of the torque to be transmitted is changed by changing over the relation between an M slider 2 and an arm part 6b of a soft brake base 6 to the contact state or non-contact state in accordance with whether the tape running mode is the tape loading time or the tape forward running time. At the time of forward tape running, the soft brake base 6 is rotated by the pressing force of an extension coil spring 11, and base recessed parts 6a and projecting parts 10a of an upper/lower plate become the fitted state for each other. The upper/lower plate 10 comes downward accordingly and a soft brake gear 7 arranged on the upper/ lower plate 10 is similarly pushed down becoming the state non-contact with a press leaf spring. Thus, the friction of the soft brake gear 7 becomes small, and the torque transmitted to the reel is decreased.</p> |
