<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tandem type color image forming device in which a paper jamming is not caused even in the case of a stiff paper in a monochromatic printing mode. SOLUTION: A recording and developing unit 50 is mounted to a device main body 40 and an engagement member 90 of a drum cover 84 is engaged with a turning lever 92 of the main body 40 side. A lever driving gear 93 in which a turning lever 92 is fixed to the rotary shaft thereof is connected to a driving gear 72 of a motor 71 through an idle gear 94 and a driving transmission system which is not shown in a figure. By the motor 71, a belt moving arm 58 is positioned at a lower monochromatic printing mode position through a clutch gear 68, an electromagnetic clutch 67, a driving shaft 65, a turning lever 66 and an intermediate coupling lever 64. By interlocking with it, the lever 92 is turned right to pull out the cover 84 downward up to a halfway. The leading edge 94-1 of the paper 94 carried in a carrying belt part 42-1 is brought into slidable contact with the roller 91 of the pulled-out cover 84 so that the floating thereof is suppressed and it is passed without causing such failure that it is caught by the lower end part 80-1 of a drum sub-unit 80.</p> |
