The system includes a digital video camera (2) for capturing the rear view image, with the electronic video signal being modified by an electronic circuit (3) and forming an image on an LCD screen (19) fixed to the dashboard. There is an on-board computer (4) which is linked to the camera, communicating with the engine control unit (5). The computer generates real and virtual images of the rear view along with additional vehicular information from the engine control unit, to this screen with a high definition image. All or part of the image can be selected with the additional information alongside it. |
