摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin, highly sensitive X-ray image detection apparatus with a high S/N ratio which can adjust quantity of light. SOLUTION: This detection apparatus has a phosphor 101 which absorbs X rays and generates fluorescence, an FOP(fiber optical plate) 102 for transmitting a light image by the fluorescence, and a two-dimensional solid-state image- pickup element 103 for detecting the fluorescent image. A light quantity adjustment means 200 constituted of an EC film 202 and a solid electrolyte layer 203 held between transparent conductive films 201 and 204 is disposed between the FOP 102 and the image-pickup element 103. When a voltage is impressed between the conductive films 201 and 204 of the light quantity adjustment means, the EC(electrochromic) film 202 changes the transmittance by internal chemical reaction. Accordingly, the light quantity of the fluorescent image input to the image-pickup element 103 can be changed.
