PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a greeting message that is adapted to an incoming call among greeting messages for output to each caller by comparing received call related information with registered call related information and selecting and transmitting one message. SOLUTION: Each of plural greeting messages for output is associated with call related information that is preliminarily recorded in an outputting message/ call information directory 16. One of the greeting messages for output is designated as default and is reproduced to an incoming call that does not match with an entry in the directory 16. When incoming call related information that is related to a caller matches with call information of the entry in the directory 16, one specified message in the plural greeting messages for output is designated by an entry that is reproduced to the caller. A voice recording/reproducing circuit 20 reproduces the greeting message for output to the caller through a processor 18.
