PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely notify a user that an incoming call arrives and to notify the user of calling side information by stopping the generation of ringing tone in accordance with a key depression operation, converting the calling side information into voice information and notifying it to the user. SOLUTION: A line detection circuit 5 detects an incoming signal and a modem signal and performs a closing operation of a line, when the circuit 5 detects the incoming signal, it outputs an incoming detection signal (a) to a CPU 4 and when the circuit 5 detects the modem signal, it outputs an information detection signal (b) to the CPU 4 and also transmits the modem signal to a number detection circuit 6.
