PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an electromagnetic wave shield member excellent in translucence and electromagnetic wave shielding properties through a simple method at low cost. SOLUTION: After a conductive metal film of 0.5-50μm is formed on the surface of a transparent basic material 2, a resist pattern is formed thereon by intaglio offset printing using a blanket excellent in ink mold releasing properties, e.g. a silicon blanket. Subsequently, the metal film is removed by etching from the part where the resist pattern is not formed thus forming a stripe-like or grid-like electromagnetic wave shield pattern 10 of conductive metal film having line width of 5-80μm and line interval of 200-3000μm.
