PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize harmonic distortion produced on three-phase load portions, by determining two non-zero space vectors with which appropriate voltage is supplied to the three-phase loads in one period, and symmetrically activating space vector transistors, based on the non-zero vectors. SOLUTION: When the first transistor of each pair of transistor; is activated, voltage is supplied to one of each of three pairs of three-phase loads, respectively, and selection of the first transistors in one of a series of continuous periods and the activated period are expressed using six non-zero space vectors U0, U60, U120, U180, U240, U300 and two zero space vectors O(000), O(000). First, two non-zero space vectors with which an appropriate voltage is supplied to the three-phase loads in one period are determined. Then the space vector transistors are symmetrically activated, based on the two non-zero space vectors, and phase current harmonic distortions are concentrated on the center of the period and thereby minimized. |
